Update On: Settees in Foyers

A million years ago I did a blog post about using settees in foyers. You can see the original post here.

Since that post my client and I shifted our focus to the Family Room area, leaving the Foyer on the back burner. But now we’re ready to resume the Foyer planning (along with the Dining Room and Powder Room). So, I’m still thinking we need a settee. How phenomenal is that armless sofa to the left? I’m in love with that with that pattern. And the rug. Along the other wall, I’d like to use a skinny table (like this one) that will double as a small serving piece since it’s right off the Dining Room. But when it’s not in use, I think it should be accessorized just like the picture to the right. Small pictures leaning on top (and some hung on the wall above), an umbrella stand (must have) and a simple tray or two to collect the mail and keys.
