NYC.

This weekend I’m off to New York to check out my friend’s new West Village apartment. We have some paint colors to try and furniture layouts to discuss, but mostly we just have lots of shopping and eating to do.

I haven’t been to NYC in a few years. David and I went up a little over 2 years ago to buy pashminas in Chinatown for our wedding reception. The time before that I was on The View. Well, I wasn’t really on it, I was just on camera clapping in the front row of the audience for a solid 7 seconds. My 7 seconds of fame. This time we’re going to hit some of the places that I only know through work (blog posts and catalogs). Here’s where I’m dying to go:

C. Wonder

Jonathan Adler

DwellStudio

ABC Carpet & Home

See. We’ll be working. I also want to go Magnolia Bakery (I’ve never been) and to a restaurant owned by Tom Colicchio. I’d also like to go to Coney Island and to a NYFW show. Hmmm. I think I need to plan another weekend for those two.

Recommend ABC (and the restaurant there) and Colicchio’s place in the Meat Packing District. Have so much fun! Love NYC!

SO JEALOUS! I haven’t been in two years and we used to go all the time! West Village is my FAVORITE! Definitely try Magnolia – there are a few amazing Marc Jacobs stores on the same street – Bleeker I think. xo
