Red and Gray {and a bedding update}.

It’s no secret, especially if you’ve been following along on the blog, that I’m pretty much in love with DwellStudio’s Draper Stripe bedding in Poppy. First of all, I love stripes. Who doesn’t? And I also love the burst of red paired with the smokey gray flange. Yum. It’s the perfect combination. One that I’ve been a big fan of ever since I first saw this bedding almost two years ago. And lately, I’ve been seeing this color combo all over the place.

It’s in fashion.

And it’s in interiors. This photo was in the latest House Beautiful issue and I’m slightly obsessed with it. That wallpaper is insanely pretty. It’s already hanging on my bulletin/inspiration board in my office.

On a personal note: Since my adorable little dog Gus has made purchasing fancy bedding nearly impossible, I am always on the look out for inexpensive and stylish options. This weekend was no exception. While I was at Ikea, picking up supplies for my office, I found this red and white striped duvet cover for $5o. Fiddy bucks? I’ll take it. When I got home, I threw the duvet on our bed, over these grey Beech cotton sheets that my mom gave us for Christmas. They are best sheets ever. I’m not exaggerating.

Last night as I was getting ready for bed I realized how much our new bedding reminds me of DwellStudio’s Draper Stripe (pictures above). Although, it was completely unintentional to pair the sheets and duvet together, I think it was meant to be. One way or another I had to have the look. And in this case it’s the look for less.  A little red, a little gray, a little stripe, a little price tag and a lotta dog friendly. Now that’s the perfect combination.
