She’s actually doing it.

Earlier this week, Jenny, the author of Little Green Notebook, casually mentioned on her blog that she was going to reupholster a pair of bergere chairs that she bought for her home. Okay, sure. When I read through that paragraph, I remember chuckling to myself and thinking, “She means she is going to have someone reupholster her chairs. Come on. No one actually knows how to reupholster furniture.”  I mean, I can staple fabric to a seat cushion with the best of them but I am by no means a pro in the reupholstering department. I didn’t think anyone was except, well, the pros.

So, you can imagine my surprise as when I checked out Jenny’s blog today and she is already on Part 2 of showing her readers how to reupholster! She is actually doing it! The DIY queen strikes again. I should have never, ever underestimated her. Oops. My bad.

I would love to know how to reupholster so I will be following along very carefully with a notepad and pen in hand. I will let you know when I am brave enough to attempt this myself (which will be never). Be sure to check our her blog as she continues to chronicle the how-tos of reupholstering. Now, this I gotta see.

She has upholstered lots of pieces before as well. I am in awe of her. Did you know she upholstered the Chaing Mai settee she had in her old dining room? My Mum is like that too – she upholstered both her sofas herself, know I just need her to teach me!
